SFHA impact: Supporting Communities Fund webinar

By Michael McLaughlin, Social Impact Lead.

Posted In

Acknowledging the key roles that many housing associations across the county play as community anchors, the Scottish Government made SFHA a referring partner for its recent Supporting Communities Fund.

As part of our work in tackling poverty and demonstrating impact within our Innovation and Future Thinking programme, we are hosting a free webinar on 17 November to look at the ways in SFHA members were able to access this funding and the importance of being able to measure and report upon the impact it has had within their communities.

The webinar will look at the great work carried out by Berwickshire Housing Association to keep tenants and residents connected during lockdown, and the ways in which the association supported their mental wellbeing.

We will also discuss the social value that housing associations were able to create through the support they provided, and the role that the Supporting Communities Fund and recently announced Communities Recovery Fund has played across Scotland.

We will also consider the links that housing associations have in reducing the inequalities in health which have been exacerbated by the Covid pandemic.

To sign up for the webinar, or for more details, please visit the SFHA Live! section of our website.

Please contact me via mmclaughlin@sfha.co.uk to discuss current funding through the Communities Recovery Fund or to find out more about SFHA's work on impact.
