SFHA Live! 2021 virtual training and webinars
FOI follow-up training, the importance of kindness, Place Standard Tool, and social value.
FOI follow-up training
Tuesday 19 January, 10:30–11:30
Delegates will have an opportunity to discuss their FOI experiences with TC Young, as well as their peers, in this free follow up session and to gain a greater understanding of how to deal with more complex FOI requests that may arise from time to time.
Creating the conditions for kindness
Wednesday 20 January, 11:00–12:00
This webinar will explore practice-based research from the Carnegie UK Trust on the importance of kindness, and what it might take to embed ‘radical kindness’ within an organisation. It will also reflect on what we have learnt from the response to Covid, in which many organisations have embraced a more human and responsive approach to supporting people and communities.
The Place Standard Tool
Tuesday 26 January, 10:30–12:00
Building on a previous masterclass on the Place Standard, hosted by SFHA in March 2020, this 90-minute webinar will enable housing associations to share their experiences of using the Place Standard Tool. It will feature a practice example from Linstone Housing Association and will provide a space for discussion about the opportunities, facilitators and barriers that exist for housing associations to use the method as a means for engagement and neighbourhood improvement.
Social Value: Adding Value to Your Business
Wednesday 27 January, 10:00–11:00
This webinar will discuss social value and how to make it work for commercial partners as well as housing associations. It will explore low cost/no cost options and how your approach to social value can help your business to win more tenders, increase visibility, contribute to improving the overall wellbeing of the communities you work in and, ultimately, bounce back stronger and smarter.
