SFHA members take part in equalities and diversity training
Training delivered and designed by Stirling University.
SFHA members have taken part in training designed and delivered by Stirling University on equalities and diversity as well as meeting requirements under the Scottish Housing Regulator’s updated Regulatory Framework.
The session, specially designed by Dr Peter Matthews and Professor Isobel Anderson, covered a range of topics, including the Equality Act 2010 and the Public Sector Equality Duty, findings of recent research on accessible housing and LGBT+ tenants, self-audit and evidence, cases studies and data.
Zhan McIntyre, SFHA Policy Lead, said: “We were really pleased Dr Matthews approached us to discuss training on this subject. Improving equality and diversity across the social housing sector is one of SFHA’s strategic objectives and the timing couldn’t be better.
“We want to make sure everyone has access to a good quality, affordable home which meets their needs, and this training will help our members play their part in making that a reality.”
