SFHA supports food redistribution charity FareShare
The donation will help feed families throughout the pandemic.
SFHA will be donating a weekly fruit box order to food charity FareShare which is helping feed families throughout the pandemic.
Prior to lockdown, SFHA had a weekly fruit box delivered to the office for staff to enjoy throughout the week. Officedrop, the company which delivers the boxes, has been greatly affected by Covid-19. Now, and to support Office Drop and its employees through these difficult times, SFHA has chosen to donate its weekly boxes to FareShare.
FareShare is the UK’s longest running food redistribution charity, it redistributes surplus food to charities which then turn it into meals for those needing help.
Sara Jackson, SFHA Head of Business Services, said: “Covid-19 has had a devastating effect on many businesses and people across Scotland. We are pleased that, by donating our weekly fruit box, we can help to support not only Officedrop and its employees but the excellent work done by FareShare.”
Officedrop provides fresh fruit, milk, snacks, and other office essentials to workplaces around the UK. You can find out more by clicking here.
You can find FareShare at work in 1,500 towns and cities across the UK which include four locations in Scotland at Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, and Aberdeen. Find out more about the charity by visiting its website.
