At this year’s Housing Management Conference you’ll hear about SFHA’s Innovation and Future Thinking Programme. You will have a choice of five Innovation Stations to visit and you’re spoiled for choice with demos of new online resources for you, discussions on the future of frontline housing, and practical support to help you design services.
Station 1 - SFHA Online Innovation Hub Demonstration

Over the past year our Innovation and Future Thinking programme has gathered pace - to showcase all the great projects and input from across our membership we have developed a new area on the SFHA website to house all the blogs, articles, videos, resources, guidance and lots more in one place. Visit station 1 to live demo the Innovation Hub on screen and a get taste of new developments and feedback what would make it even better!
Station 2 - What Big Social Problems Should We Be Working on Across the UK?

Successful innovation requires genuine collaboration. That’s why we are teaming up with other Federations across the UK to tackle housing’s biggest challenges. The scale of our ambition is big – we are establishing innovation programmes across the UK that you staff will be able to access. Find out more and help to shape the social problems we will work on at this station.
Station 3 - Future of Housing Services
Evie Copland, Dumfries & Galloway Housing Partnership & James Duff, Wheatley Group
This station will utilise the workshop pack created by SFHA’s Innovation Community Members, to facilitate a conversation about the future of housing, from the perspective of frontline housing staff.
Station 4 - Service Design Workshop
Bryony Willett, Maryhill Housing Association & Shelley Hutton, Castle Rock Edinvar Housing Association
This station will utilise the service design toolkit created by SFHA’s Innovation Community Members to give frontline staff the chance to practice designing services with and for their customers.
Station 5 - Measuring Impact Prototype
Gareth James, CaCHE & Mark Turley, Scottish Government
At this station participants will have the chance to see the first basic prototype of a new resource to measure the social and economic impact of housing associations.
Delegates are encouraged to visit more than one station throughout the time period as discussions will be open! So come along to day two of the conference to hear about new online resources, the future of housing services and more!
The conference takes place on the 24 & 25 September at The Studio in Glasgow city centre. Day delegate rates start at £229 for SFHA Members (£319 for non members) which includes attendance, lunch and all refreshments. When you book to attend both days of the Housing Management Conference, you can come for £395 - a saving of £63.00!
