A new and improved member community for SFHA members - A place to connect with peers, share ideas and discuss challenges.
Following feedback from our annual member survey, SFHA have launched a new and improved digital communication community space on the SFHA website where individuals from housing associations can access specific channels related to their area of work.
Using improved functionality, we are excited to announce that users can:
Our vision is to create a go-to place where SFHA members can communicate and engage with peers across the sector, get quick responses on arising issues and find solutions through collective knowledge to help them in their daily roles.
How it works
Community Topics
The Topic areas mirror each of our main areas of policy work we focus on at SFHA and the forums we host monthly via our Policy Leads. These include, Finance, Governance and Regulation, Energy and net Zero, Housing Management, Developing New Homes and much more – as well as our networks for Communications and AI, Digital and IT.
By logging into your account and then visiting the Members Community, you can click into a topic you are interested in, “Subscribe” to that topic to get email notifications when a new thread is started. You can also turn them off by unsubscribing through the same process.
Notifications will be sent each time a user starts a new Topic Thread – a thread usually involves a question or challenge that another SFHA member is having like: “Looking for AI training for staff”.
Topic threads
You can start a new thread in any topic area that interests you. As the owner of the thread, you will automatically get email notifications when some replies to your question.
If you are really interested in a thread, they can also subscribe to get notified of all conversations and replies by clicking on the topic thread and “subscribing” to it.
Each time a user replies, an email is sent to you with a link to revisit and see the new updates.
Email notifications
All email notifications are an opt-in service, which can be turned on a switched off by the user. No personal or sensitive data is held about users. If you want to know more about your data and how we use it you can visit our Privacy page on the website here: https://www.sfha.co.uk/privacy-policy
