Scottish Government launches consultation on post-2020 Energy Efficiency Standards for Social Housing (EESSH)
The Scottish Government has launched a consultation on proposed energy efficiency standards for social housing post 2020. These standards would aim to help address fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions. The EESSH2 standards are highly ambitious – with a target EPC of Band B for 2032 for the vast majority of homes. The consultation, which opened in May, is open for 3 months.
The standard, developed as part of the EESSH Review, is proposed to run from 2020 (when the current EESSH targets are to be met) until 2032.
