Update for Finance Staff on Making Tax Digital (MTD)
A new Making Tax Digital (MTD) for VAT page has been published on GOV.UK to advise customers about the MTD rules, including the information that must be kept digitally. It includes a list of software suppliers working with HMRC ahead of the implementation in March 2019.
Following SFHA’s meeting with HMRC regarding the MTD changes, a large number of member associations have been in touch with details on their current VAT registration position and current software/methods for handling VAT data. Many thanks to those of you who have been in touch, this information has been shared with HMRC.
