Can a Tenant Governing Body Member be Removed from the Governing Body for Rent Arrears?

Following discussions with the Scottish Housing Regulator and TC Young, SFHA has produced a short two page briefing note about whether it would be possible to remove a tenant Governing Body Member (GBM) from the Governing Body because they were in rent arrears.

Existing provisions in the SFHA Model Rules dictate that only once legal action is taken as a result of rent arrears, could a tenant GBM be removed for this reason.
