SFHA Energy and Fuel Poverty Conference 2018

22 May 2018, The Studio, Glasgow.

Increasing energy efficiency is a major priority for housing associations. Providing affordable warmth is an important goal, yet fuel poverty levels remain unacceptably high. At the same time, Scottish Government climate change targets have resulted in tough energy efficiency standards for social housing to be met by 2020.

This conference will hear about three major pieces of Scottish Government policy that will shape housing associations’ work on energy efficiency and fuel poverty in the coming years:

  • EESSH2: the targets that will supersede EESSH after 2020, with challenging targets being set for 2032

  • A New Fuel Poverty Strategy: what it means for tenants and whether it is ambitious enough

  • Scotland’s Energy Efficiency Programme (SEEP): proposals for the 15–20-year programme to address fuel poverty and support a transition to low carbon heat and energy and the SEEP roadmap

The event will also feature examples of good practice and innovation, including energy advice, retrofitting energy efficiency, district heating and smart energy grids.

Come along to hear the major policy initiatives that will steer housing associations’ work on energy efficiency and fuel poverty, examples of best practice and innovation, and network and share ideas and challenges.

Benefits of attending:

  • Hear about major policy initiatives shaping your work on energy efficiency and fuel poverty

  • Share experience of good practice and innovation

  • Learn from others about areas of concern

This event will provide you with essential knowledge of the developments in energy affecting your organisation

The conference is taking place on 22 May at The Studio, and delegate rates start at £219, including attendance for the full day, lunch and all refreshments. Why not take advantage of the SFHA’s offer and book two places to receive a third one free.
