Making the connection: Atrium receives funding for digital skills
Atrium Homes receives funding from Digital Participation Charter Fund.
Atrium Homes, the local Kilmarnock landlord, were delighted to announce an award of over £8,000 from the Digital Participation Charter Fund to help tenants improve their digital skills and get online.
Atrium were one of 26 organisations to be successful in the 6th round of funding from the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO). The Charter Fund has made awards of over £220,000 to projects from across the country to support people to increase financial capability, employment and other economic outcomes.
Atrium’s Head of Operations, Joyce McCroskie, prepared the bid for the Atrium project. Joyce said:
“We recognise that many within our communities aren’t online and therefore are missing out on lots of opportunities that would improve their lives both socially and economically. Our project will ensure that we can reach out to those people and give them a helping hand through one-to-one digital support and some fun workshop events.”
