DWP issues UC182 guidance for live service
The DWP has issued guidance on rent verification, to be used in its Universal Credit (UC) live service.
When a claimant has been unable to provide satisfactory evidence of their rent responsibilities, the DWP will contact the landlord using form UC182. The guidance explains the procedure.
If a tenant has provided sufficient evidence, the DWP will instead issue a UC179 (sometimes known as the seven day notice) advising the landlord that their tenant has made a UC claim.
