Survey: Digital Participation – filling the gaps

The Scottish Government recognises that participation levels are lowest amongst some key, vulnerable groups.

The Scottish Government Digital Participation team is conducting a short survey that will help identify gaps in knowledge and build a more detailed picture of how social housing providers are enabling digital participation and equality of access to internet at home.

Although good progress is being made, the Scottish Government recognises that participation levels are lowest amongst some key, vulnerable groups and is focusing efforts on helping them gain the skills and confidence to get online.

The work feeds into the One Digital Programme and Digital Champions network with the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO).

Using this survey to gather information from across Scotland and assess interest in developing learning resources to support housing associations with digital inclusion, the Scottish Government will focus its work on the areas identified by the sector as the main barriers to inclusion.

The Scottish Government would be grateful if housing associations can take the time to complete the survey by 14 November which is available here.

If you have any questions on the survey, please contact SFHA Research Officer Janine Mckenna at jmckenna@sfha.co.uk.
