The individuals and organisations shaping Scotland’s housing sector are set to be recognised next month at an awards dinner celebrating outstanding leadership, innovation and community impact.
Shortlisted nominees for the Governing Body Team of the Year; Housing Team of the Year; Outstanding Commitment to Employee Wellbeing and Community Impact awards, among others, have been released.
Hosted by specialist housing and training organisation, the Share Annual Conference and Awards dinner event on the 30th of April at the Hilton Glasgow will bring together professionals from across Scotland for an evening of recognition, learning and inspiration.
Emma Cameron, journalist and presenter at STV, returns as the host for the evening.
Daryl McIntosh, Chief Executive of Share, said: “I've read every single nomination and, honestly, some of them gave me goosebumps. The scale of what people are quietly getting on with, whether that’s supporting tenants through crisis, or building communities from the ground up, it deserves to be shouted about.
“Housing in Scotland right now is not easy. The pressures are real and they're relentless. Teams and individuals in the sector are not just holding the line but genuinely innovating and going above and beyond, and that’s worth stopping to celebrate properly."

This year, learning and professional development is highlighted through Digital Learning Organisation of the Year. The award will recognise organisations that have embraced digital learning to build skills across their workforce.

One of the most anticipated honours of the evening will be the Housing Hero: Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognises an individual whose career has made a lasting contribution to Scotland’s housing sector. While finalists are not being publicly announced ahead of time, the award promises to be an emotional highlight celebrating extraordinary dedication and service.
Individual awards that encapsulate the housing industry’s Rising Stars will also be announced on the night – recognising both the Modern Apprentice of the Year and the One to Watch categories.
Finalists are:
- Rising Star: Modern Apprentice of the Year
Connor Murphy, South Lanarkshire Council
Craig Harris, Yorkhill Housing Association
Sam Shiels, Bridgewater Housing Association
Shannon McNee, Linthouse Housing Association - Rising Star: One to Watch (sponsored by East Kilbride Housing Association)

Daryl added: “The Rising Star and Digital Learning Organisation of the Year awards are another highlight this year. These accolades recognise the person quietly completing online modules at the end of a long shift, or the apprentice who's just finding their feet – those are the people who will be running this sector in ten years’ time. Recognising them now is how we make sure they stick around."
The awards ceremony will take place following Share’s Annual Conference, which will bring together housing professionals, governing body members and sector leaders for discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing housing in Scotland.
Organisers say the combined event provides an opportunity for attendees not only to recognise achievement but also to exchange ideas, build connections and explore how organisations can continue strengthening governance, leadership and professional development.
Winners across each category will be announced during the awards ceremony.
