Housing (Amendment) (Scotland) Act 2018

The Housing (Amendment) (Scotland) Act 2018 received Royal Assent on 6 July 2018.   This legislation is intended to lead to the Office of National Statistics (ONS) reversing its decision of September 2016 to reclassify RSLs as pubic non financial corporations.


Landlords will be asked by the DWP to re-verify housing costs when Live Service claimants move to Full Service

The DWP has written to the SFHA to advise that claimants currently on the Live Service will have to declare again their housing costs, which will then prompt the DWP to request landlords for a re-verification.
