The schedule of meetings for the SFHA Governance Forum up until June 2024 is now available.
An update to the SFHA Self Assurance Toolkit is now available. SFHA commissioned consultant, Linda Ewart - who originally developed the toolkit on our behalf - to refresh the document. The toolkit has been developed in partnership with the SHR, ALACHO and GWSF and looks at the questions governing bodies should be asking to assure themselves of regulatory compliance.

The SHR has launched the first stage of its review ot the regulatory framework. It has issued a discussion paper, available on the SHR website here: SHR discussion paper Responses are due by 11 August 2023, and SFHA is seeking input from members to its response.
UK Government is currently considering the Data Protection and Digital Information (No 2) Bill. SFHA has submitted a brief response. SFHA commissioned TC Young to produce a briefing on the contents of the Bill for SFHA members, to highlight those areas most relevant to RSLs.

The Bill is currently at Committee stage, so there may be changes to what is proposed by the Bill depending on its progress through Parliament. The expected deadline for comment is 13 June and SFHA will be submitting a brief response. A report outlining the key findings and recommendations of SHR's regulatory framework in practice research is now available to all SFHA members. SFHA commissioned Altair in February to produce the report, which will now be used to inform our response to the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR)'s upcoming review of its regulatory framework.
