The site of the former Borders College on Melrose Road, Galashiels has been lying vacant for many years and as a result of the poor condition, will have to be demolished as part of the project.
RSLs, working in partnership with Local Authorities may be able to come up with innovative solutions which can be used to house people for up to 3 years.
