SFHA Launches UC Case Study Template

There has for some time run monthly surveys of of members in an attempt to gauge the impact of Universal Credit on housing association and cooperatives and their tenants. It is now additionally asking members to provide case studies where there have been significant issues in the way individual cases have been dealt with.

Response Submitted to Social Security Advisory Committee’s Consultation

The SFHA and HSEU have submitted a response to the Social Security Advisory Committee’s consultation on the regulations for the managed migration of claimants on legacy benefits over to Universal Credit.

Landlords will be asked by the DWP to re-verify housing costs when Live Service claimants move to Full Service

The DWP has written to the SFHA to advise that claimants currently on the Live Service will have to declare again their housing costs, which will then prompt the DWP to request landlords for a re-verification.

Rent flexibility - can it help in addressing in-work poverty?
