Energy Saving Trust seeking views from housing associations to help inform research

EST survey seeks views to inform ‘state of the nation’ report

Energy Saving Trust is seeking information and views from housing associations to help inform Scotland-wide research.

This survey was highlighted previously in Housing Scotland Today newsletter and is now live.

As a recap, the Energy Saving Trust, with funding from the Scottish Government and in partnership with Scottish Enterprise, is conducting research into the energy efficiency and low carbon market. The purpose of this research is to create a ‘state of the nation’ report, covering key insights into the energy efficiency and low carbon market in Scotland, from both a demand and supply perspective. The results of this research will be used to inform the supply chain in Scotland regarding the market opportunities that exist.

It is hoped that this will contribute towards developing and strengthening the supply chain in Scotland to ensure there is an adequate supply base in Scotland able to satisfy the needs of buyers (including housing associations). The research will also be used to help inform Scotland’s Energy Efficiency Programme (SEEP).

Given the key role that housing associations have in the low carbon market, all members are invited to contribute. The survey is being conducted by Amec Foster Wheeler; any queries can be directed to the team lead Gareth Oakley gareth.oakley@amecfw.com.

The survey can be accessed here.
