An introduction to the development process

About the training

An introduction to development will address the challenges faced by developing RSL’s. These challenges include the risks involved such as the current climate, funding, decision making, logistics involved and the laws and legislations.

This training aims to provide a clearer understanding as to what is involved in the development process to allow RSL’s to be equipped to deliver affordable housing in their own communities.

Delegates will leave with an outline understanding of the legal, technical and processes, the roles of the principal actors, the Scottish Government grant system, achieving good governance and how to get what you need from the construction industry.

The training will be delivered by Graham Harper.
