About the training

There has been significant data protection activity recently because of the impact of Covid-19 (health surveillance, home working, varying working patterns etc); the increase in cyber attacks; the implications of the UK leaving the EU and because the ICO expect employers to have had training in the past 2 years (and most employers will not have had this since the flurry of activity in 2018

  • Are your home workers locking away confidential information?
  • How long are you storing Coronavirus data?
  • When did you last send an employee email about the huge increase in ransomware attacks?
  • Have you updated your privacy policy post-Brexit?

COVID-19 has brought a myriad of challenges including its impact on data transparency and data security. You will consider the practical technical and organisational measures that should be in place for home working, health surveillance and cybersecurity.

We will then consider the impact of the UK leaving the EU, how you remain compliant and ensure the continuation of the flow of personal data.

Benefits of attending

  • Understand and manage the risks that Covid-19 and increased cyber attacks has had on data security

  • Learn about the practical actions you need to put in to place post-Brexit to ensure continued compliance

  • Consider any additional measures to ensure the continued flow of data after the end of June 2021

Who should attend?

This training will be of particular benefit to all those that are responsible for processing personal data and possess a basic understanding of data protection compliance.
