Implications of Review of Adult Social Care
Online Webinar

Book Now

Wed, 30 Jun from
14:00 to 15:30 (BST)

About the session

The Independent Review of Adult Social Care published in February 2021 sets out a vision for reform of adult social care that is focussed on:

  • human rights and equality,
  • individual choice, quality,
  • empowerment of people who need support and carers, and
  • valuing the workforce.

The Scottish Government is now looking at the implementation of key recommendations from the review. For a successful transformation to a care system that is integrated, focuses on prevention, independence and choice, housing and housing support services must play a significant role.

This webinar will enable participants to consider

  • the priorities for the Scottish Government taking forward the recommendations of the review
  • the key issues and implications for housing associations and housing support providers
  • the role of housing and housing support providers in achieving the vision for social care

You will hear from:

  • Donna Bell, Director,  the Mental Health and Social Care Directorate , Scottish Government
  • Nile Istephan, Chief Executive Eildon Housing Association
  • Iain Macfarlane, Chief Executive, Blue Triangle

Who should attend?

The webinar is aimed at chief officers and senior managers from general needs, specialist housing associations and housing support providers.

A panel of experts including the speakers will be available to answer questions and participate in the discussion to share views and consider the implications and role of housing
