The next meeting of the Property Maintenance Forum will take place on 30 August at 10.00am at the SFHA office.
The meeting will cover the vital topic of fire safety and building standards.
Attendees will hear from a guest speaker from Building Standards in the Scottish Government, who will give a talk on the Scottish Government consultation “Building Standards – Compliance and Fire Safety”.
The consultation proposes amendments to Building Standards to improve fire safety measures. Changes include proposals to increase emphasis on inspections of building works and, crucially, to introduce a requirement that all new build homes for social rent will have to have fire suppression systems fitted.
Come along to the forum to hear directly on the proposals and input to the SFHA’s consultation response.
The forum will also provide an opportunity to discuss the proposed energy efficiency standards for social housing post 2020 – EESSH2 - and to hear about the SFHA Property Repairs and Asset Management Conference: THE conference for repairs officers and asset managers.
All SFHA members are welcome to attend the forum. To book your free place, use the ‘Book Now’ link above.
