SFHA are planning a campaign to improve the awareness, acknowledgement and funding for the contribution our members make to the health and wellbeing of communities across Scotland with Health and Social Care Partnerships.
The contribution SFHA members make to the health outcomes of communities, as well as savings to the NHS are substantial, yet they are still not fully acknowledged by many Health and Social Care Partnerships, while funding pressures on housing and care providers mount, making services increasingly untenable in some areas.
Many SFHA Members invest heavily in housing support services and buildings to meet the needs of an ageing population. However, the quality of Housing Contribution Statements across the country are variable, and joint working with health and social partners is inconsistent.
A group of prominent providers of both housing and support, have been invited to a roundtable to discuss and shape the campaign.
