Thank you to all that attended this session.
Lobbying can come in many forms and from a range of individuals and organisations. It plays an essential role in informing and influencing decisions within parliament and government. The intention of the Act is to increase public transparency about regulated lobbying.
Regulated lobbying means face-to-face communication (including video calls) discussing Scottish Government or parliamentary functions with: MSPs, Scottish Government Ministers, special advisors and the Scottish Government’s Permanent Secretary. It does not matter where or when this communication takes place, it could be at a social occasion as well as in a professional setting.
Those who attended found out what the implications were for their association and their board when it comes to meeting MSPs and Ministers.
If you were unable to attend this session there is the possibility to arrange further sessions for members based on demand. Please make Shona Mitchell, SFHA Policy and Public Affairs Advisor, aware of your interest by emailing email@example.com
