Freedom of Information Training

Eileen Barr from TC Young delivered the training on SFHA’s behalf.  She is a highly experienced solicitor who specialises in FOI and data protection, and developed SFHA’s template FOI documentation and guidance notes for members.  She also facilitates SFHA’s FOI hotline to members and will draw on real life experiences and issues encountered within the sector during the session.

Costs & how to book

The training will take place online on Tuesday 26 August 2025 from 10.00am - 12.00pm. The cost is £144.00 for SFHA members which includes attendance and access to the recording after the session.

It was be broadcast via Zoom and the link to join the session will be sent 24 hour before the session begins.

• The online recordings of webinars and conferences using Zoom and Teams will be used on the SFHA website to provide insight and information post-event.
• SFHA has considered the 3rd party usage and security of both applications and found these both suitable and applicable to meet our privacy and data protection standards.
• We may also use these recordings for information sharing, promotion and publicity, this also includes social media use. Personal details and identification will never be recorded or shared if it is deemed inappropriate or not for legitimate interests.
