EVH Grade 5: PA13 to PA16 (£30,250 - £33,617 Pro-Rata) first point of grade at commencement date

Job description
This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join our Homes for Life staff team. We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced Assistant Finance Officer to join our dedicated team of individuals providing first class services to our tenants, service users and other stakeholders. As Assistant Finance Officer you’ll provide accounting support to HfL’s Finance Manager along with the wider HfL’s Team through a variety of financial tasks. This includes posting all purchase invoices, preparing the fortnightly payment process, monthly reconciliation of all bank and control accounts, assisting the Finance Manger with prepayments and accrual journals, Assisting with internal and external audit requirements. You’ll become familiar with our IT systems and form a key part of the business, helping all things finance run things smoothly and efficiently.

You’ll have experience of providing accounting support, ideally in the social housing sector, able to work at pace, accurately and methodically and build good working relationships in the process.

Qualified to Higher Level or equivalent, ideally with an HNC in Accounting with excellent communication, IT and accounting skills.
