Salary: The salary for this post is £15,322 per annum rising to £16,129 on successful completion of 6-month probationary period Salary Note: All salaries at Cairn are under a standard benchmarking review and could be subject to change in April 2026.

Join our team as a Care & Repair Administrator at our Caithness Office!

Cairn is seeking a dedicated Care & Repair Administrator to provide efficient and effective Customer Care and Administration Support to the 3 Service Level Agreements in providing Handyperson, Telecare and Care and Repair services ensuring financial information is recorded and KPI’s are met.

Key Responsibilities:

- Establish and maintain a trusting supportive relationship with clients at every stage in the Handyperson/Telecare process and where necessary, the Care and Repair core service.
- Provide a high level of customer service when dealing with internal and external customers to ensure the best customer experience is provided.
- Oversee and monitor a schedule of works for all 3 services ensuring they are carried out in accordance with policy & procedures.
- Arrange appointments for and liaise closely with the Handyperson’s regarding the organisation of workload to cope with changing demands.
- Collaborate with NHS Highland, Highland Council & other 3rd party agencies to develop and maintain cohesive partnership working.
- Prepare all documentation for administration such as letters, minutes and report in accordance with procedures.
- Contribute in a collaborative approach to general office duties such as mail distribution, weekly fire alarm testing & general customer enquiries from visitors.


Requirements:

- Recognised administration qualification or 2 years’ experience in a similar role with significant experience of an administrative role within a busy office.
- Understanding and knowledge of repairs and maintenance and experience with knowledge of standard forms of contract, procurement methods and tendering processes.
- Strong planning, administrative, organisational skills and developed ability to work with Microsoft Office packages.
- A willingness to attend events & represent Cairn HA’S Care & Repair/Handyperson service.
