Job description
About the role
SBHA was created by tenants for tenants and manages over 5,600 homes, supported by a dedicated team of 165 colleagues. Our mission is to enhance lives and communities by providing homes, services, and opportunities that meet evolving needs, drive sustainable growth, and improve outcomes for everyone in the Scottish Borders.
This is an exciting time to join and lead the organisation as we aim to build impact through strong community partnerships – listening to tenants, building on experience and strengthening our financial foundations to enable us to progress into a new era of delivery.
As Chief Executive, you will lead a talented team of colleagues, an engaged Board, and a high-performing senior leadership team. Together, you will embed our values of Delivering Excellence Together, Being Responsible, Always Improving, Everybody Matters. You will drive delivery of our strategic objectives, including tackling the housing emergency, advancing our Net Zero ambitions, and embedding innovation and digital transformation across the organisation.
We are looking for a visible, approachable, and authentic leader who unites people around a shared purpose and delivers meaningful outcomes for tenants and communities.
You may not have had experience leading all the functions under this role’s remit, however, your energy, ambition and commitment are just as important as your professional skills.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects the community we serve, and we actively encourage applications from all backgrounds and experiences.
