To support our customers and meet the aspirations held by the Group, we are currently recruiting for an Operations Supervisor to join our Operations Team.
The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications to at least SVQ Level 3 or equivalent or relevant experience in one or more relevant trades (Joiner, Electrician, Plumber) and a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card. In addition, they will also be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of:
Managing the delivery of a proactive and flexible void and reactive maintenance service by providing relevant and appropriate support to all colleagues, driving best practice and ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures and employment legislation
Providing day-to-day line management and performance management of a multi-trades team including carrying out 1-2-1’s, annual reviews, performance improvement, absence management, employee relations, regular onsite assessments and toolbox talks in all matters relating to the void and reactive maintenance service to ensure that the correct works are carried out to the correct standard
Delivering the void and reactive maintenance service by working within the departmental key performance indicators as determined by the organisation
Managing the delivery of void and reactive maintenance service within the departmental budget and cost control measures set
Knowledgeable in the office and operational health and safety issues relevant to the Operational function and committed to ensuring the implementation and development of the Group’s health and safety policies and procedures relating to facilities management, including visiting sites and undertaking risk assessments
Working as part of an integrated and collaborative Operational function that is focused on driving business success and maintaining a strong working relationship with colleagues in Housing and other departments to provide tenants and other customers with seamless high-quality quality and customer-focused service
Undertaking quality checks of works completed by either the in-house team or external contractors to ensure high standards are maintained.
Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office software)
Flexibility to work out with office hours
Full clean UK Driving Licence
Experience of managing a team of multi-trade operatives within a housing sector environment would also be beneficial but is not essential.
