Job description
The HOME Team Ltd, a subsidiary of the Govan Housing Group, are looking to employ an experienced Technical Operations Manager. Reporting directly to the Head of HOME Team, you will lead the delivery of an effective operations service in relation to planned, reactive and estate management as well as other contracts within the HOME Team to achieve continuous improvement through effective operational management.

You will actively manage and support all contractual and operational matters, together with the provision of cost and quality assurance, within available resources.

Supporting the management and monitoring of value for money, performance and quality standards, you will continually review the effectiveness of works and contracts in order to promote continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the HOME Team and its parent company, Govan Housing Group, meets all statutory and regulatory compliance for all areas of work covered by the Govan HOME Team.

Essential experience skills and include:

• HNC or equivalent in relevant construction discipline or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience;
• Working within the building industry, including knowledge of materials, trades, legal requirements & construction methods;
• Understanding of building technology, construction, contract drawings, bills of quantities and specifications;
• Procurement from the Contractor perspective
• H&S legislation and practice
• Managing multiple trades to ensure job completion
• Full driving licence

You’ll collaborate closely with suppliers, colleagues and customers’, making sure that the service is delivered to standard, on time and within budget and continually developed to reach their potential.

To do the job well, you’ll also need excellent communication skills, organisational ability and a keen eye for detail and a desire to deliver high quality work, customer satisfaction and value for money.
