Atrium Group appoints new CEO

Atrium Homes has announced the appointment of its new Chief Executive. Shannon Watson will take up the role from 31 January 2022.

The appointment follows the retirement of Atrium’s long-standing Chief Executive, Stephen Black, who will leave on 28 January, and comes after Atrium conducted an open and extensive recruitment process over several months, assisted by Aspen People.

Joe Keen, Chair of Atrium Homes commented: “As new challenges are emerging on the housing horizon, we are delighted to be able to appoint Shannon Watson as our new Chief Executive. Shannon comes with considerable senior management experience of Scottish Housing having over 11 years in a senior management position with Govanhill Housing Association and prior to that with Albyn Housing Society. We look forward to working with her and taking the Atrium Group onwards and upwards for many years to come.”

Shannon Watson added: “I am delighted to be taking over the reins at Atrium Homes. I look forward to working in Kilmarnock and the surrounding area with the staff team to continue providing an excellent service to our tenants and residents. Housing Associations are facing a few challenges over the coming years, and I look forward to navigating through these with the Executive Team and the Board.”
