Audrey Murphy Consultancy joins SFHA as a Supporting Associate

The Scottish Federation of Housing Associations has announced the addition of Audrey Murphy Consultancy (AMC), an experienced housing professional, as a supporting associate. Audrey brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record in the housing sector. 

In her current role as a Housing Consultant, Audrey is currently engaged in addressing outcomes from a Governance Review for a client, delivering tangible results. She also offers a wide range of services that fall under strategic and operational roles, such as training and project management. 

With 20 years in the sector, her experience spans Housing Management, Customer Services, Repairs and Maintenance, Estate Caretaking and large projects. 

Prior to the decision to move to offering consultancy services, Audrey served as the Interim Director of Governance and Business Improvement at Albyn Housing Society Group. In this pivotal role, Audrey led the charge in implementing an action plan to address regulatory compliance issues identified in an external review. Notably, Audrey successfully closed off the action plan, with the society regaining full compliance status by March 2023. 

Audrey dedicated numerous years to her role as the Customer Service Manager at Queens Cross Housing Association, spearheading impactful transformations by modernising the extensive Estate Caretaking Service, overseeing improvements in the Customer Contact Centre, and establishing an organisation-wide business administration support model. Her efforts were geared towards achieving a comprehensive, corporate-wide service. Audrey's noteworthy housing career commenced at Glasgow Housing Association (now Wheatley Group) and later evolved as she transitioned to Queens Cross in 2009, continuing the role of Housing Manager following the stock transfer. 

Audrey has undertaken several interim roles since, such as Senior Housing Officer at Pineview Housing Association, Senior Housing Officer at transferring RSL at Kendoon HA and as Operations Manager at Ardenglen Housing Association. These roles involved overseeing various aspects of housing management, customer service, and operational improvements. 

Education and Training 

Audrey holds a Post Graduate Public and Urban Policy Diploma certificate from the University of Glasgow (2018). A HNC in Accounting and has continuously invested in professional development, completing courses in areas such as IOSH Managing Safely, Business Continuity and Resilience Training, Cyber Security, Leadership Development, and Coaching Sessions for New Directors. 

Community Involvement 

Beyond their professional achievements, Audrey is deeply committed to community service, having volunteered in various roles including Vice Chair of a transferring RSL, Chair of a local resident's association, a befriender for older individuals facing isolation. Their dedication extends to supporting school activities, as evident in their roles as a homework helper and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) member.
