In its tenth year, Challenge Poverty Week runs from Monday 2 to Friday 8 October – with lots of opportunities to take part.

Organised by The Poverty Alliance, Scotland’s anti-poverty network, Challenge Poverty Week is an opportunity for individuals and organisations to raise their voice against poverty and unite with others in calling for a just and equal Scotland.

Each year, hundreds of organisations in Scotland do just that, including elected representatives, charities and NGOs, local authorities, faith groups, businesses, school and colleges, trade unions, professional bodies and more.

As part of SFHA’s activities across the week, we’ll be taking part in the Poverty Alliance’s ‘morning briefing’ webinars and podcast. Key partners will also be sharing the Housing at Scotland’s Heart campaign, highlighting that delivering social homes is a crucial part of tackling poverty.
