Emma Garry is delighted to have aligned her business with SFHA by joining as an Associate member, reinforcing her commitment to working with SFHA members and supporting the delivery of affordable homes across Scotland. As an Associate member, Emma Garry Consulting (EGC) joins a network of organisations dedicated to driving positive outcomes in the housing sector.
EGC works closely with housing associations to support the delivery of new homes and helps organisations turn ambition into action. Taking a concept-to-completion approach, providing practical, tailored support at every stage of a development project to ensure plans are delivered efficiently and outcomes are maximised.
Services can be delivered by working alongside in-house teams to provide additional capacity and expertise, or on a full consultancy basis where a housing association does not have an in-house team. Services include options appraisals and feasibility studies; development and review of strategies; risk assessments; establishment or review of policies, procedures, and design standards; and governance and board support.
Emma Garry, a Chartered Surveyor with over 20 years’ experience in the affordable housing sector, leads the consultancy. Having held senior roles within the sector, she brings extensive experience in delivering affordable homes and leading teams managing complex projects and programmes. She established EGC almost 10 years ago, building her business based on sector expertise, strong relationships and a commitment to the values that underpin the sector.
By joining as an Associate member, EGC is strengthening its connection to the work of SFHA and its members. Through participation in SFHA networks, events and forums, EGC aims to contribute constructively to sector discourse and work collaboratively to help increase the supply of affordable homes and deliver positive outcomes for communities across Scotland.
Emma Garry said:
“With a national housing crisis declared, housing associations face unprecedented pressures to increase the supply of affordable homes while maintaining high-quality services, meeting regulatory expectations and responding to rising demand within constrained resources. SFHA membership provides a vital platform for leadership and advocacy, ensuring the sector’s voice is represented at a national level.
I’m delighted to join SFHA as an Associate member. The Federation has been a constant throughout my career, supporting and representing our sector. Associate membership is an important way for organisations like mine to share expertise and contribute to delivering homes for those who need them most, while also achieving broader social and economic outcomes. I look forward to working alongside SFHA members and strengthening my relationships across the sector.”
