Funding opportunity to apply the Place Standard Tool

The funding from Public Health Scotland in partnership with Scottish Government sees a total of £10,000 available with each organisation invited to apply for up to a maximum of £2000.

Public Health Scotland has announced an opportunity for Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Third Sector Organisations to apply for funding to undertake a Place Standard Tool assessment in their areas and to implement the recommendations which the assessment will produce.

This funding from Public Health Scotland in partnership with Scottish Government sees a total of £10,000 available with each organisation invited to apply for up to a maximum of £2000. Applications will be awarded in October and the funds need to be spent by March 2022.

Applications will be awarded against the following criteria:

  1. The application details how the PST will be used including aim, how the work will be developed and delivered and who will be involved.
  2. The application describes the people, communities or groups that will benefit from a PS assessment being undertaken.
  3. The application sets out evidence demonstrating that a need for a PS assessment has been identified which for example includes details, research undertaken or community engagement.
  4. The application details any constraints / challenges and how these will be overcome.
  5. The application includes the amount of funding sought per location, what this will be spent on and by when.
  6. The application details intended outcomes and gives an overview of plans for monitoring/evaluation.
  7. The application includes details of referees.
