With Prime Minister Rishi Sunak yesterday announcing a UK General Election for July 4, SFHA is delighted to launch a range of resources for members to help support them engage in the election, where they possibly can.
We want all of our politicians to know the value that social homes bring to their community – so they stand up for what makes our sector stronger. We also want to ensure that our housing associations and co-operatives have strong relationships with them, so they’re there when you need them. So we hope members find the resources useful in this.
We’re also working alongside the Electoral Commission to make sure that housing associations, as registered charities, know what they can do during this period. And, important work to ensure that social tenants – who are one of the most underrepresented voters – can get out and vote.
Members can find the resources and more information here.
