What will you be discussing during the conference?

I’ll be giving practical examples of governance documents and sharing what has worked for us and what hasn’t.

What measures do you take to ensure governance is understood at your organisation?

We ensure our governing body and employees are well informed by using plain language. This starts at the induction stage. Everything we do links together and to our mission, vision and values.

What do we need to do more of to ensure governance is better understood within our organisations?

We need to understand when less is more. A 12-page policy may hold the detail but a one-page flow chart is invaluable to busy individuals. Equally, we need to allow our people to zone in on what matters.
