Public Health Scotland in partnership with Scottish Government has awarded a total of £6000 to support three organisations to apply the Place Standard Tool and evaluate its application in a number of housing contexts.

Firstly, Linstone Housing Association will undertake a Place Standard Assessment to support the planned development of a Community Investment Strategy in the Johnstone Castle area of Renfrewshire.

Scottish Borders Housing Association will host a number of digital and face to face consultation events with tenants, community members and local partners to gather their views on Langlee and what improvements are required in the area to make it a great place to live in.

Finally, North Lanarkshire Council will host a series of Place Standard activities to provide the Shotts community a wider opportunity for engagement with council officers and officials, elected representatives and other relevant community partners.

The three organisations will be asked to report on how they have applied the Place Standard Tool and how they plan to measure their success in January 2022.

We will share an update on progress following this via the SFHA and Place Standard Twitter accounts.

We will also be creating case studies on each individual project at the end of March 2022, which will be shared here..
