The Scottish Government is consulting on their approach to developing and introducing a new Human Rights Bill incorporating (within the limits of its devolved powers)

  • The International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR)
  •  The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW)
  • The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRDP)
  • The International Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD)

The right to adequate housing is set out in the ICESCR so will be included in the new bill. As public service providers, the new duties are likely to apply to RSLs and we are keen to hear members views.

Join us on Friday 29 September from 14:00-16:00 for a session which will outline a summary of the proposals and consider the implications for RSLs.
