I recently joined the members solutions team here at SFHA in the role of Member Solutions Co-ordinator.
I come from a social housing background, having worked in the sector for almost seven years. I have covered and been involved in a wide variety of roles including, customer services, allocations, maintenance, and compliance.
The experience and knowledge I have will play a huge part in my new role, as I understand and have experienced the challenges housing associations face on a day-to-day basis and recognise the hard work put in by teams to achieve successful outcomes for tenants and communities.
I have already started getting to know some of our members through the work SFHA does with its members. Recently I took part in our ‘Creating a Kindness Culture and Awareness’ session, where members come together to share what the importance of being kind means to them and how we combat the challenges that come with this in our communities and working environment.
Some of the other projects I will be involved in are; Routes to Housing, Near Me in housing, and TECH (Technology Enabled Care in Housing) to name a few. I will also provide support in aspects of funding for our members.
