Kacey Recycled Plastic has joined SFHA as a sector associate. Perthshire based Kacey specialises in the supply of a range of recycled plastic profiles as alternatives to wood in outdoor environments.

Of special interest to housing associations is KC/Fence. It provides a key to eliminating the ongoing cost of maintaining and continuously replacing timber fencing. The long-term cost benefits of using a non-rot fencing material offer substantial savings for housing associations.

  • Once installed, KC/Fence will never need to be treated with any kind of paint or preservative.
  • KC/Fence will never rot. Never again will it be necessary to excavate and replace rotten posts. Fencing contractors tell us that the life of timber posts can now be as short as five years.
  • Impervious to the elements. KC/Fence is unaffected by rain, snow or salt as well as most chemicals.
  • Graffiti can be removed easily. Because recycled plastic is non-absorbent, paint and other liquids cannot soak in, making the easy to remove with simple solvents.
  • Looks remarkably like wood – most people do not realise the KC/Fence is plastic.

KC/Fence allows your tenants to grow plants against their fence without ever having the need to remove them for maintenance.

KC/Fence is made from 100% recycled plastic and has the ability to be recycled again and again. Like all of Kacey’s products that means a reduction in the amount of plastic going to landfill.

The team at Kacey is ready to chat over the possibilities with you. This could be to cost the replacement of an existing fence or to discuss the viability of recycled plastic for a new development. After all, new homes are built to last, why not the fencing?

We look forward to discussing the cost saving opportunities with members of the SFHA. Please feel free to contact James or Keith Wanless on 01764 671165 or at info@kaceyplastics.co.uk
