Posted Thursday 15th May by Rachel Carter

As we mark 50 years of the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations, at this year’s Annual Conference we will cast our eyes forward - asking what the next half-century holds for social housing in Scotland.

As we mark 50 years of the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations, at this year’s Annual Conference we will cast our eyes forward - asking what the next half-century holds for social housing in Scotland.

We’re delighted to welcome back Kwajo Tweneboa, a powerful voice for change whose activism continues to challenge and inspire the sector. He’ll be joined by an expert panel bringing diverse insights on innovation, care, and community:

  • Nicola Cooper, Scottish Care
  • Ian Wright, Disruptive Innovators Network
  • Lorna Wilson, Barrhead Housing

Together, they’ll explore how digital tools will reshape tenant engagement, how homes must evolve to meet changing demographics, and what role innovation will play in building more inclusive, sustainable communities.

This is not just a conversation about housing, it’s about the future we want to build.
