Langstane Housing Association is donating to a fund which aims to provide all local kids' clubs and schools with a defibrillator, in memory of Kacey Seivwright.
Langstane Housing Association employees have nominated Kacey Seivwright’s fundraiser as its chosen charity to receive a Christmas donation in lieu of sending traditional cards.
The family of Kacey are raising funds to ensure all local kids' clubs and schools have access to their own defibrillators.
Helen Gordon, Team Leader Langstane Housing Support Service, who made the initial suggestion of Kacey Seivwright’s fundraiser, said: “I heard about Kacey’s fundraiser through a family friend, and I know members of the larger family.
“I only moved away from Torry this year, but I know the effect Kacey’s sudden death had on the whole community of Torry and Aberdeen. It was heart-breaking to hear the details of little Kacey’s death, and, when the email came out, asking for recommendations of who to donate to, I put Kacey’s fund forward as a very worthy cause.”
Fundraiser organiser Lauren Boylan said: “The donation is greatly appreciated, and we hope it will go towards saving someone else's life. All in memory of our Kacey.”
