Scottish Housing Associations face a growing threat from cyber crime.

Our recent survey shows that many Scottish organisations, including housing associations, are concerned about cyber security, but lack the knowledge or resources to address it effectively. (Source: Lugo security article: https://lugoit.co.uk/cyber-security-leaders-take-charge-2024)

This is particularly concerning as your leadership team ultimately holds legal accountability for managing cyber security risks.

Here's the alarming reality:

  • Only 19% of Scottish organisations believe their senior leadership is responsible for cyber security.
  • Just 21% of organisations feel confident in their current cyber defences.
  • A significant portion are unsure if they have adopted a Zero Trust security approach, crucial for protecting residents’ data.

Lugo understands the unique challenges faced by SFHA members. We've designed a FREE in-person seminar specifically for leaders of housing associations to equip you with the knowledge and tools to take charge of your organisation's cyber resilience.

This seminar is for you if:

  • You're concerned about cyber threats but unsure where to start.
  • As a leader, you want to understand your legal responsibilities for data protection.
  • You're looking for practical advice to improve your cyber security posture.

Join us on Thursday 28th March at the Abertay cyberQuarter in Dundee (09:30 - 12:30).

Keynote speaker: Jude McCorry, CEO of the Cyber & Fraud Centre Scotland.

Here's what you'll learn:

  • Securing workstations: Best practices for strong passwords, user permissions, and software updates.
  • Windows 10 End-of-Life (2025): Planning for a smooth migration.
  • Preparing for AI: Exploring the potential of Microsoft Copilot and ensuring data security for AI integration.
