To mark its 60th anniversary and its ongoing commitment to sustainability Link has launched a special sustainability-focused logo this week.

The logo, which incorporates Link and partner brand colours and design elements to create a fresh take on the core brand image, was designed by Scott Dixon who joined Link’s sustainability team as part of the UK Government’s Kickstart employability scheme.

Logo designer and Link Corporate Sustainability Assistant Scott Dixon said: “It was great to be able to contribute to Link’s birthday celebrations by designing the logo.

“Combining the key themes of the 60th anniversary and sustainability created a design challenge for me, and I am delighted the team is happy with what I brought to the table.”

Link Group Chief Executive, Jon Turner said: “Scott’s design is fantastic and captures everything Link aspires to be as it enters its 60th year – bright, bold and sustainable.

“Schemes like Kickstart enable us to bring new ideas to the table and move forward in exciting directions, while providing young people, like Scott, with unique and meaningful experience.”

50 young people have been provided with jobs across the Link group of companies since the organisation engaged in UK Government’s £2 billion Kickstart scheme in 2020.

The Kickstart scheme is subsidised, with the Government paying 100% of the age-relevant national minimum wage, national insurance, and employer minimum auto-enrolment pension contributions.

As a Scottish Living Wage employer, Link enhanced the standard payments offered through Kickstart. Scott’s contract with Link has been extended to support a wider Sustainable at Sixty campaign.

The launch for the Sustainable at Sixty logo complements Link’s ongoing sustainability activities, which included the launch of the organisation’s Sustainability Strategy at the start of May.
