Lister Housing Co-operative has worked in partnership with Prospect Community Housing Association, West Granton Housing Co-operative, Viewpoint Housing Association, and Manor Estates Housing Association (all in the ARCHIE alliance) to source funding from the Scottish Government from its Community Recovery Fund. The bid was organised and submitted on the organisations' behalf by Prospect Community Housing Association.
The overall bid comprised a mix of different supplies of practical energy conservation items, tablets to assist in digital access, and debt advice work in partnership with CHAI in Edinburgh. The bid was successful, and staff at Prospect Community Housing Association worked to translate the funding into supplies and service arrangements.
The bid, at Lister, was for a 'Goody Bag' of energy conservation items for every tenant – a 13w LED bulb, a radiator reflective panel, a fabric 'sausage dog' draught excluder for a door, plus a sheet of energy advice tips and one of welfare, money debt advice and agency contacts.
Lister Director Alistair Cant said: "Many thanks to the Scottish Government for their wonderful support, and to our Archie Alliance partners for working together on this important project."
