Meet SFHA's Board: Linda Leslie
Get to know SFHA's Board members - we asked SFHA Board Member Linda Leslie a few questions about her career in housing.
Why did you choose a career in the social housing sector?
It chose me! I started as a Housing Benefits Assistant in 1984 and was encouraged by the Director of Housing to do the CIH qualification.
What are some of the things you’re proudest of from your career so far?
I am fortunate to have had a really varied career in housing and to have worked with some great professionals. All of my roles (from frontline service delivery to policy development for legislation) were challenging and rewarding in their different ways. Now retired, I really enjoy being on the Boards of Kingdom Housing Association and Kingdom Support and Care. I’m proud of the positive impact that these organisations have and how everyone involved constantly strives for innovation and excellence in their mission to deliver more than a home.
What are you most excited about as an SFHA Board Member?
Working with other Board Members and the Executive Management Team to ensure that the organisation remains a strong and respected voice for the sector within the current challenging financial and legislative environment.
