With times tough as the country battles the ongoing cost of living crisis, Dalkeith-based Melville Housing Association has made festive donations totalling £4,500 to organisations that help struggling households.
Eight organisations, spread across Midlothian and beyond, have each received cheques to help with their work tackling poverty over the busy festive period; they are:
- Aberlour Child Care Trust
- Clydesdale Foodbank
- Edinburgh and Lothian Trust Fund (ELTF)
- Mayfield Pantry
- Midlothian Foodbank
- Newbattle Storehouse
- Penicuik Foodbank
- Woodburn Pantry
