New Housing Minister and Social Justice Cabinet Secretary appointed
Paul McLennan MSP announced as new Housing Minister.
Following his election as leader of the SNP, Humza Yousaf has this week been sworn in as First Minister.
In forming his new cabinet, Shirley-Anne Sommerville MSP has been appointed to the role of Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, with Paul McLennan MSP as Housing Minister. Paul was previously a member of the Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee and Social Justice and Social Security Committee. Patrick Harvie retains his role as Minister for Zero Carbon Buildings, Active Travel and Tenants’ Rights.
Former Cabinet Secretary Shona Robison MSP has taken on the role of Deputy First Minister and the Finance brief.
SFHA will be seeking meetings with all relevant ministers in the coming weeks.
